Memorylink Coverage Extender.
Memorylink's Coverage Extender provides a simple and cost-effective expansion of a Motorola Canopy network, delivering service to potential end-customers outside of the current coverage range.
These potential customers may simply be located beyond the line-of-site (LOS) of the Access Point (AP) or AP cluster, or within range, but in a coverage dead-zone, blocked by man-made or natural obstructions. In such cases, the RA5000N can be deployed with a connected Canopy Subscriber Module (SM) at an intermediate location within range of both the end-customer, and the AP or AP cluster. By connecting one or more additional AP's to the RA5000N at a non-interfering frequency, your coverage area can be expanded, and bandwidth essentially extended, to capture new customer revenue opportunities.
The Coverage Extender RA5000N series utilizes a Nema4X / UL508 outdoor rated enclosure and is designed to be mounted outdoors within close proximity to the connected SM. The RA5000N comes with a power supply that sends its nonstandard Power-Over-CAT5 to the RA5000N, and eliminates the need for individual power supplies for each RA5000N-connected Canopy device. This allows for a quick, easy deployment in a variety of situations.
